How to Create an Instafest Lineup with YouTube Music

The YouTube Music feature is not available directly in Instafest as of now. The developer, Anshay Saboo, has confirmed that Apple Music support and YouTube Music are still in beta. While you cannot use Instafest completely for YouTube music, you can get at least the music lineup by adding the YouTube playlist link. Here is how:

  • Visit the Instafest website
  • Select “Create from a Playlist“.
  • Select Share and Copy Link from YouTube Music and choose a playlist.
  • The playlist link should now be pasted into the “Enter playlist link” section.
  • After that, click “Create Festival” and customize your line-up accordingly.
  • You can now generate your YouTube Music festival lineup using Instagramfest, then download and share it.

The YouTube Music data can also be used in other ways to create a personalized festival lineup.

  • Transfer your YouTube Music data to Spotify: Your YouTube Music library, playlists, and recommendations can be transferred to Spotify with third-party tools TuneMyMusic or FreeYourMusic. Then, you can use Instafest to build your lineup based on your Spotify data.
  • Use Last.fm: YouTube Music is compatible with this scrobbling service. If you connect your YouTube Music account to Last.fm, you can also do it. The Last.fm team needs some time to accumulate enough data to put together a proper lineup of a festival.
